Dr. Marina Ranga is Senior Researcher at the H-STAR Institute at the Stanford University since 2010. Between 2009 and 2010 she was the Faculty Research Fellow of the Clayman Institute for Gender Research at the Stanford University. Between 2009 and 2014 she also held several Visiting Professor appointments at the University of Warsaw’s School of Management, University of Sussex School of Business and Economics and Stony Brook University, New York. During her career, she served in the EC DG Research Horizon 2020 Expert Advisory Group on Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation, and was Vice-Chair of the EC’s Marie Curie ECOSOC Evaluation Panel. She led or contributed to over 30 research and consultancy projects funded by the European Commission, UN, OECD, national and regional governments, totaling over €1.3 million. Dr Ranga is also involved in extensive consultancy and advisory work, as member of the UN Economic Commission for Europe’s Team of Specialists in Innovation and Competitiveness Policies (TOS ICP) and the Gender Advisory Board of the UN Commission for Science & Technology for Development. Dr Ranga is a Scientific Board member of the University-Industry Innovation Network (UIIN) and of AUTM Scholar Interaction Committee. She also served as Chair of the Membership and Strategy Committee of the Triple Helix Association. She holds a PhD and MSc in Science and Technology Policy from SPRU, Sussex University, UK, and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest.
