Marcel Klimek worked as a manager and procurator in the banking sector for more than ten years. He participated in the restructuring of the largest Slovak companies, such as VSŽ, Nafta Gbely or Slovnaft. In addition to banking, he also worked in managerial positions in the private sector and in state administration. Klimek also provided economic advice and macroeconomic analysis. He is the author of the conception of the German standard for Slovakia, which represents a fast way to get the Slovak economy and wages closer to developed Europe. He is also the author of the publication Food Billion for Slovakia, which reveals the potential of food self-sufficiency in relation to the development and employment of the regions of Slovakia. The final part of the trilogy is the publication Medical record and treatment of the Slovak healthcare system. He currently works as the State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic and also as the Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the General Health Insurance Company.
